The "Gaiteiros do Carballo", belonging to the Neighborhood Association of the same name, in Sárdoma (Vigo), were born in the 80s by the piper Rique O Salueiro, then passing to Nazario González "Moxenas", until in 1994 he left the his place to Xosé Oliveira, who currently leads the group, thus maintaining the maxim of always being under the direction of a resident of this parish.

The formation is that of a traditional quintet (bagpipes, tamboril, bass drum, tambourine) and the repertoire is the usual of these formations, emphasizing pieces from the bisbarra and also the compositions of "Moxenas".
